Under new ownership and ready to bring Michiana audiences something to look forward to again, the Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres is kicking off its return with an old favorite, “Plain and Fancy”, playing live from May 29th until October 17th!

About the Show
After a six-year hiatus, the Amish Acres staple, Plain and Fancy returns to the historic farm to take up residence as the flagship of their Repertory Theatre experience. Two sophisticated New Yorkers with property to sell find themselves stranded in Bird-in-Hand, PA, and their encounters with the local Amish provide a charming and eye-opening look into the “plain” people of this rural enclave. Plain and Fancy premiered on Broadway at the Mark Hellinger Theatre on January 27, 1955. Directed by Morton DaCosta, the production featured Richard Derr, Shirl Conway, Will B. Able, Gloria Marlowe, Douglas Fletcher Rodgers, Barbara Cook, David Daniels and Scott Walker. The lush score includes the 50s chart-topper “Young and Foolish,” among other musical gems.
